Field Trips to See Endangered Spawning Salmon

Field Trips to See Endangered Spawning Salmon take place in the Winter in close coordination with SPAWN's Creekwalk Program. The best times to look for salmon spawning are after rainfall in the months of November, December, and January.

SPAWN offers many year-round, hands-on environmental education programs for all grade levels where students learn about salmon in their habitat. Students also have the opportunity to engage in habitat restoration activities to help this endangered species!

To plan a field trip to view spawning salmon or engage in a habitat restoration project with your class or youth group, please contact:

SPAWN Watershed Biologist, (415) 663-8590 ex. 102
Email: SPAWN@spawnusa.org

We are happy to work with teachers and group leaders to create a field trip that meets your class' interests and needs! Costs are $4- 6 per person, sliding scale, and no one is tuned away for lack of funds. Donations received will support SPAWN's education programs in under-served communities.
